After registering for the Detroit Free Press Marathon the most natural second step is putting a training plan in motion. I sat down with a calendar and made a countdown to race day. I’ve ran one marathon before, but followed the plan set forth for me by my running Dad. This plan is not the traditional set-up that most marathoners plan. Not unlike my half-marathon training I have my own plan, based on some traditional training, but edited to suit my life. I also know that I need to keep it flexible, because my life needs to be. I’m both anxious and excited. Detroit, here I come!
